#10 At Your Service! – Our Soma staff is here to serve you and point you to Jesus.
#9 Connect in the Summer! - Refuge meets every Thursday night at 7 PM, so why wait until the Fall, come to Refuge and begin to connect to Soma right away. We have several events and meetings ongoing! If you would like to tour the campus or the Memphis area, call our office 901-452-1717 to set up a time with the staff.
#8 Stay Connected! – We have a Facebook Group: Soma Memphis that wee use to keep students informed about all events and happenings at Soma, please request to join the group, and follow SomaMemphis on Twitter.
#7 Home Away From Home! ‐ Our facility is open for you, area churches bring meals on Monday nights and we want the Christian Student Center to be your home away from home.
#6 Get Away! ‐ Soma sponsors several retreats and getaways throughout the school year. Our annual Fall Retreat will be in early October and we always go to Camp Tahkodah in Floral, AR. In January, on MLK weekend, we will join approximately 2000 other college students for Gulfcoast Getaway in Panama City Beach, FL. Finally, in the spring we will have a Guys Retreat and a Girls Retreat. All of these events serve to draw each student who attends closer to God and His people.

#4 Around The World! – Soma is very committed to missions. Several mission trips are sponsored each year during the summer. Last year students shared Jesus and served and loved people in Japan and Liberia.
#3 Real Relationships! – One of the best ways to make real friends, the kind that encourage you to become more like Jesus, are through our Small Groups which will begin meeting in September, to sign up all you have to do is contact Rusty Woods at [email protected] or call at 901-452-1717
#2 Everybody needs Support! - Soma has a Support Committee made of area church people who love college students and an Executive Committee made up of awesome servants who pour their hearts into Soma. The chair of this group is currently Mike White from Park Ave. Church of Christ.

We must gain strength and encouragement from God and each other in order to face the temptations of everyday living as well as to share God’s love on a state campus.
